Metra, tables and consoles
Seccose, 1999
Metra is a system of tables whose name originates from hydrometra, the insect that thanks to the lightness and structure of its body can float flush with water in a sort of natural perfection. The structure of the tables, made with an extruded aluminum, allows to generate different formal configurations to support tops of different shapes and sizes thanks to the study of the joints and the supporting details of the tops. The range includes transformable tables, coffee tables and consoles. The low thickness tops can be in various materials and finishes such as laminate, aluminum, birch and glass. The glass tops are in different finishes and in particular the full color effect is obtained through the application of unalterable resins compressed between the two sheets of 12 mm laminated glass.
