To-kio, seats range
Et al., 2014
The collection is characterized by the use of wood as an expressive and structural element. The project stems from the desire to match the formal and material expression of wood with its intrinsic technical nature, recovering the value of craftsmanship. The collection name refers to the wise Japanese tradition of woodworking and to the beauty of timeless objects that enchant us in their simplicity and attention to detail.

The essential lines, the large spherical surfaces of the seats and backrests, the conical legs, the curvature of the cushions combine ergonomics and formal research. The shells in curved plywood are associated with solid wood without visible fixing. The cushions have a shaped polyurethane core.
